Hello! I’m Jasmine Madrid, a dedicated mental health counselor passionate about supporting adolescents and adults through their unique journeys. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and am currently an LPC-Associate under the clinic supervision of Dr. Roger Giovino, Psy.D., and her primary supervisor Whitney McLean, LPC/S-AT, ATR-BC.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, enriching my understanding of the complexities of human experience. My professional background includes facilitating group therapy for adults in a PHP/IOP program and completing an internship with Denton County Friends of the Family, where I worked closely with both adolescents and adults. I also served as a care coordinator in a nonprofit setting during my studies, where I learned the value of collaboration and advocacy in mental health care.
I deeply value honesty, kindness, and flexibility, and these principles guide every interaction I have with clients. I incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and expressive arts, allowing me to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs.
I invite you to reflect on this question: What choice will you make today to move one step closer to your authentic self? I would be honored to help you explore that question as we navigate your therapy journey, one step at a time. Please reach out—I’m here to support you.
