“I’ll meet you where you are—but I won’t let you stay stuck. We’re here to do something about it.”
That’s how I approach therapy. I’m here to understand you and what you’re going through, but we’re not just going to talk in circles. If something isn’t working, we’re going to look at it and figure out how to change it. I’ll support you, but I’ll also push you—because that’s how real progress happens.
I’m a second-generation immigrant, so I grew up navigating different expectations, perspectives, and a fair amount of “figure it out as you go.” That experience shaped how I think about identity, pressure, and what it actually means to build your own path.
Outside of work, I’ve spent years in bodybuilding. It’s probably the least glamorous way to learn life lessons—lifting the same weights, eating the same meals, and realizing motivation is unreliable at best. Some days you feel great, most days you don’t, and honestly, that’s not the point. You show up anyway. Even on the days you really don’t want to.
Bodybuilding taught me consistency, persistence, and drive in a way nothing else really did. It showed me that real change doesn’t come from one big moment. It comes from doing the same things over and over again, even when it’s boring, frustrating, or uncomfortable. That’s where the results actually happen.
That mindset stuck. Growth isn’t a breakthrough. It’s repetition. It’s showing up, being honest with yourself, and putting in the work even when you’d rather not.
I try to keep things real. I don’t pretend to have everything figured out, but I do believe most people are more capable than they think. If they’re willing to actually show up and do something about it.
I’m pretty direct. I’m not going to just tell you what you want to hear. I’m going to tell you what you need to hear. Not to be harsh, but because that’s usually where the real change starts.
My commitment to you is to show up fully, be real with you, and help you move forward. I’ll take the time to listen and understand where you’re at, but I’m not going to sugarcoat things or just tell you what you want to hear.
I’ll support you, and I’ll also challenge you when it matters because that’s where real change happens. Our work is focused on actually doing something about what’s not working, not just talking about it.
I work from a person-centered and existential framework, and I want to be clear about what that actually means in practice.
Person-centered means I focus on understanding you—your experiences, your perspective, and what matters to you—without jumping to conclusions or trying to force you into a label. You set the direction. My role is to listen, ask the right questions, and help you get clearer on what you’re feeling, thinking, and doing.
Existential means we also look at the bigger picture—your choices, your values, and the direction your life is going. It’s about taking ownership of your decisions, figuring out what actually matters to you, and being honest about what’s working and what isn’t. There’s a focus on responsibility, meaning, and what you want your life to look like moving forward.
In therapy, that looks like understanding your patterns, calling out what’s keeping you stuck, and helping you make intentional changes. We’re not just talking about your experiences—we’re using them to help you make different choices and move in a direction that actually fits who you are.
I work with adolescents and adults who are trying to get unstuck, gain clarity, and move forward in a more intentional way
Areas I focus on include:
No matter what brings you in, the goal is the same: figure out what’s not working, understand why, and make changes that help you move forward.
